Weddings

After 11 years we just shut up shop on our wedding photography business.

This is pretty bloody HUGE !
I started off as a wedding photographer 11 years ago nearly and I kind of fell into children’s photography by accident few years later.
So this is like our baby flying the nest. It’s scary.

I wanted to post here about it incase anyone who follows both the wedding and kids photography Facebook pages/blogs saw the update, and thought I may be disappearing somewhere and not offering photography at all or something RIDICULOUS like that:)

Basically the weddings just aren’t sustainable for us anymore.
Hubby’s other business is thriving, he is needed there more and more, and my heart never sings quite as loudly as when it’s capturing life entering this world. As an artist I need to stick to what I love, what I put my heart and soul into. You, my clients, you deserve that, and my heart & soul deserves that.
I love weddings, the stories, the love, the friendships we have made since we started, but it’s all such a different kettle of fish to the relaxed sand in your toes wind in your hair, mucking about on the beach, that my family photography is.

I am what I photograph. I am families. I am pregnancy, I am birth, I am sticky fingers, I am silly dancing, I am a pancake making, hair all a mess , ripped jeans, and flip flop donning ….. I am a temple of zen haha.

I have big plans on a very small scale for Bambino Art (remember those four little dahhhhrlings they need my time more).
I am taking an astonishing amount of documentary birth photography bookings, as well as the Bambino photography club going absolutely amazingly.
I want to focus all my efforts into one space, less blogs, less Facebook pages, less instagram and twitter (ok I lie I don’t tweet but in my head I do !:)) , I need to be truly 100% present for my children when we are together, and I can’t be that without having less things to do.
and so, there is it. The end of an era, and the start of an even more exciting one.

Love and light friends.
xoxo
