In June 2019 I started my MA in photography with Falmouth university – an accredited education programme. This section of my website holds my WIP relating to this module. Blog posts for my Critical research journal will be posted here …. http://www.bambino-art.co.uk/cornwall-photographers-blog/ On the blog TO VIEW JUST MY CRJ POSTS (rather than my work posts as well) … click on the blog and in the categories list down the right hand side of the page, you can click “MA” to view everything related to my MA, or click CRJ to view just the CRJ posts.
The below images are the work in progress from my first module of the MA. They encompass images of my own home educated children, a world schooling family I photographed in Arles, France, and a structured learning group my youngest attends in Cornwall. Alongside these images are representations of the feelings and emotions one experiences along the journey of alternative education, which can simultaneously feel like you are part of a world wide connected community with shared philosophical views, whilst paradoxically, sometimes feeling inordinately and engulfingly alone. I plan on building on this body of work in the next module by visiting local individual families in their wide ranging regular learning environments, as well as more learning groups, forest schools, and an additional world schooling family when we do the F2F in Amsterdam in September.
