Week 2 reflection. Aesthetics of repression 09.02.20
This evening I watched the Gregory Crewdson film the aesthetics of repression , and was very much interested to notice that I, without forethought, found myself analysing the scenes & images in a different way than I was before this module, even before I was last week, when I took his books out from the library. The way I dissected the sets and lighting and framing, sounded different in my head to what it used too. That internal monologue of evaluation and appraisal , this deeper way of looking at something was there that wasn’t there before, or wasn’t as refined perhaps, as it was earlier. This was just an interesting observation that I made that I wanted to record , as I am sure by the time another few weeks is done, I will be thinking entirely differently again, and I cannot possibly imagine how this will of changed by this time next year.
